Secured Signing pricing at a glance
These figures come from Secured Signing's pricing-enotary page, checked in October 2026. They describe platform access and usage charges.
| Item | Published price or allowance |
|---|---|
| Business first user | 36 USD monthly or 430 USD billed annually |
| Additional users | 10 USD each monthly, up to 10 users, or 120 USD each annually |
| Shared annual allowance | 600 document uploads and 50 credits, about 5 RON meetings |
| Setup and onboarding | No setup fee, free onboarding |
| Enterprise | Custom price |
| Credits | 1 credit equals 1 USD, funded before scheduling RON |
| Standard video signing | Up to 30 minutes and 2 participants included |
| RON and IPEN caps | Up to 60 USD for RON and 35 USD for IPEN, still being confirmed by Secured Signing |
Business includes a notary queue, job assignment, branding, a witness pool, templates, API access, cloud storage integration and 10-year video storage. Enterprise adds an admin portal, one bill, multiple teams and SSO through Okta, Entra ID, Duo or ADFS.
Secured Signing supports IPEN, RON, RIN and mobile workflows and claims approval in 40+ states. Confirm support for your notary's commissioning state and intended workflow. A witness pool does not mean notaries are supplied.
What raises the bill beyond the subscription
Credits must be in the account before you schedule a RON session. The 50 annual credits belong to the account, shared across users. They are not a monthly allowance for each employee.
| Transaction component | Charge |
|---|---|
| ID verification | 3 USD per check |
| Knowledge-based authentication, or KBA | 1 USD per check |
| Digital eSeal | 5 USD for the first seal per document, then 1 USD for each additional seal on that document |
| SMS | 0.15 USD each |
| Extra participants | 1 USD each, up to 50 |
| Extended RON video | 0.05 USD per participant per extra minute |
| Deepfake detection | 1 USD per scan per participant |
If every signer needs ID verification and KBA, budget 3 + 1 = 4 USD per signer before seals. Two signers therefore use 8 USD for those checks. Repeated checks can change that total, so ask how failed attempts are billed.
Seals follow documents. Three documents with one seal each cost 3 x 5 = 15 USD. Three seals on the same document cost 5 + 1 + 1 = 7 USD. Counting signatures without counting documents produces a different estimate.
SMS messages, additional attendees, scans and extra video time add to the calculation. Confirm whether the notary and witnesses count as billable participants. The published RON and IPEN caps are still being confirmed by Secured Signing, so do not treat them as guaranteed invoice ceilings or assume every add-on falls inside them.
Before a long contract or loan package session, reviewers can ask questions about the PDF before the signing while preparing their document questions for the notary.
What three working months cost
These examples model recurring months after the shared annual credits are spent. Unused included credits reduce transaction credits you need to buy, not the subscription or your notary's labor. Each signer passes ID verification and KBA once, each document needs one seal, and there are no other charges beyond those stated. The estimates assume the standard video allowance applies to RON and the notary counts toward participant limits; confirm both with sales.
A small office with simple documents
Assume one account user and 4 monthly sessions, each with one signer and one document. Each meeting stays within the included video allowance with the signer and notary as its 2 participants. There are no SMS messages or optional scans.
Per session, ID verification 3 USD + KBA 1 USD + seal 5 USD = 9 USD. Usage is 4 x 9 = 36 USD. Add the 36 USD subscription for a platform total of 72 USD per month, or 18 USD per session when fully used, plus your commissioned notary's time.
ENotary Starter costs 119 USD monthly for 4 network notary sessions. Secured Signing has the lower software total here. The complete comparison depends on what supplying your own notary costs.
A legal team with several documents per meeting
Assume one account user and 12 monthly sessions, each with 2 signers, 3 documents and the notary. Treat the third participant as one billable extra participant. Meetings stay within the included video allowance, with no SMS or optional scans.
Each session costs 2 x (3 + 1) for checks + 3 x 5 for seals + 1 for the extra participant = 24 USD. Monthly usage is 12 x 24 = 288 USD. The subscription brings the platform total to 324 USD, or 27 USD per session, plus your notary's time.
ENotary Business costs 299 USD monthly for 12 network sessions and includes 2 own-notary seats. The modeled session size fits its allowance.
An operations team with longer meetings
Assume 3 account users and 40 monthly sessions. Each session has one signer, one notary, 2 documents, 2 SMS messages, one scan of the signer and 10 billable extra video minutes. The video calculation assumes both participants are billed for those extra minutes; confirm that treatment in your quote.
Per session, checks 4 USD + seals 10 USD + SMS 0.30 USD + video (2 x 10 x 0.05) 1 USD + scan 1 USD = 16.30 USD. Usage is 40 x 16.30 = 652 USD. Access costs 36 + (2 x 10) = 56 USD, giving 708 USD monthly, or 17.70 USD per session, plus notary labor.
ENotary Scale costs 799 USD monthly for 40 network sessions, 10 own-notary seats and API access. Across all examples, use your actual notary staffing or contractor cost. Assigning no cost to that time understates the operating budget.
Monthly versus annual billing
For the first Secured Signing user, 12 x 36 = 432 USD on monthly billing versus 430 USD annually. The annual difference is 2 USD. An additional user costs 12 x 10 = 120 USD either way. Annual billing does not remove transaction charges or turn annual credits into monthly credits.
ENotary's annual equivalents are 59 USD per month for Starter, 149 USD for Business and 399 USD for Scale, compared with monthly prices of 119, 299 and 799 USD. Annual invoices are 708, 1,788 and 4,788 USD respectively. Compare the same billing commitment and session requirements on both platforms.

- Which notaries, signers and witnesses count toward participant charges?
- How are failed ID checks, KBA retries and rescheduled meetings billed?
- What happens after the annual upload allowance or included credits are used?
- How much credit must remain before scheduling, and what happens to unused purchased credits?
- Which state approvals apply to our notary, and which Enterprise features require a separate quote?
How the alternatives compare for business teams
The Secured Signing alternative comparison helps frame a platform purchase around whether you already have a notary.
| Option | Pricing model | Buyer consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Secured Signing | Subscription plus credits, customer supplies the notary | Budget notary labor alongside checks, seals and video |
| ENotary | Monthly or annual plan with network notary sessions included | Match volume to Starter, Business or Scale |

How much does Secured Signing cost?
Secured Signing Business costs 36 USD monthly for the first user or 430 USD annually, plus transaction usage. Additional users cost 10 USD monthly each or 120 USD annually. The account includes 50 annual credits and 600 document uploads, shared across users. Your commissioned notary's time is a separate cost.
Does Secured Signing charge per notarization?
Yes, transaction charges apply alongside the subscription, but the total depends on checks, seals and other usage. ID verification costs 3 USD and KBA costs 1 USD per check. The first seal per document costs 5 USD. Secured Signing's stated RON cap of 60 USD is still being confirmed.
What are Secured Signing credits?
Secured Signing credits are prepaid usage funds, with 1 credit equal to 1 USD. Credits must be in your account before scheduling a RON session. Business includes 50 credits annually, shared across users and described as about 5 RON meetings. Actual meeting costs depend on the chargeable services used.
Does Secured Signing provide a notary?
No, Secured Signing requires customers to supply their own commissioned notary. Its subscription buys platform access, and credits cover chargeable transaction services. Budget the notary's time separately from those charges. ENotary includes network notaries in its session allowance and offers own-notary seats on Business and Scale.
