Online Notary Center bills the business, and the business bills its own clients. That is convenient for a title office or a law firm that passes notary fees through on a settlement statement or an invoice.
What a month on Online Notary Center really costs
Because Business Premium is billed annually, the fair comparison is ENotary's yearly price, shown per month. The table assumes one document per signing unless the row says otherwise and uses Online Notary Center's network notaries.
| Monthly volume | Online Notary Center Standard | Online Notary Center Business Premium | ENotary, billed yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 documents, 1 signer | 100 USD | 105.75 USD | 59 USD (Starter) |
| 12 documents, 1 signer | 300 USD | 257.35 USD | 149 USD (Business) |
| 12 documents, 2 signers each | 600 USD | 484.75 USD | 149 USD (Business) |
| 4 closings, 5 documents and 2 signers each | 1,000 USD | 787.95 USD | 59 USD (Starter, 4 sessions) |
| 40 documents, 2 signers each | 2,000 USD | 1,545.95 USD | 399 USD (Scale) |
The closing row is where per-document pricing hurts most. A refinance or a seller package often carries several notarized pages for two borrowers, and Online Notary Center prices each document with its own signers. One ENotary session covers up to 10 documents and 4 signers, so the same closing uses one session from the allowance.
On monthly billing ENotary Starter is 119 USD and Business 299 USD. Even then, a team that runs 12 two-signer documents a month pays less on Business than on Business Premium.
Online Notary Center cost when you use your own notaries
The Bring Your Own Notary plan is the cheapest way onto the platform if you employ a commissioned notary and volume is light. At 10 documents a month with one signer, it costs about 119 USD (19.95 USD account fee plus 99.50 USD in document fees). That is cheaper than ENotary Business, and we would tell any buyer so.
The math changes as volume grows. At 40 documents a month with two signers each, the plan comes to about 578 USD, because every document and every extra signer is billed. Sessions your own notaries run on ENotary do not use the monthly allowance, so ENotary Business stays at 299 USD (149 USD billed yearly) with 2 own-notary seats, and the 12 network sessions cover the weeks your notary is out. See how bring your own notary seats work.
When Online Notary Center is the better choice
- You notarize a few single-signer documents a month. With no account fee on Standard, 25 USD per document is hard to beat at very low volume.
- You have one staff notary with light, steady volume. The Bring Your Own Notary plan costs less than any ENotary plan with own-notary seats.
- You want to pass notary fees straight through to clients. Online Notary Center bills you per document, which maps cleanly onto client invoices.
- You need HIPAA or FINRA compliance add-ons and single sign-on in an enterprise contract. Those are listed on Business Enterprise.
ENotary fits better when notarization is routine work with packages and co-signers: closings, loan documents, powers of attorney for two principals, onboarding packets. A flat monthly plan does not charge again for the second signer or the fourth document.

Teams that move from per-document fees to a monthly plan
Title and escrow offices are the clearest case, because a single closing can stack five or six notarized documents for two or three signers. See notary and title services.
Contractors and property managers are another. A vendor onboarding packet often needs a notarized affidavit or lien waiver next to the insurance paperwork, and teams that already track vendor coverage with certificate of insurance tracking software usually want the notarized pages handled in the same weekly routine, not bought one document at a time.
HR and operations teams that send affidavits, name change declarations or relocation documents to several employees a week fall into the same pattern. See company notary.
How much does Online Notary Center cost?
Online Notary Center costs 25 USD per document on its standard plan, which covers one notary, one seal and one signer. Additional seals and additional signers cost 25 USD each. Business Premium cuts the document price to 18.95 USD for a 29.95 USD monthly account fee billed annually, and Enterprise pricing is custom.
What is Online Notary Center Business Premium?
Business Premium is Online Notary Center's paid business plan. It costs 29.95 USD a month billed annually, which is 359.40 USD a year, and lowers each document to 18.95 USD with extra seals at 9.95 USD and extra signers at 18.95 USD. It adds a business dashboard, scheduling, priority support and API access.
Can I use my own notary on Online Notary Center?
Yes. The Bring Your Own Notary plan costs 19.95 USD a month billed annually plus 9.95 USD per document, with extra seals or signers at 4 USD each. It includes a custom electronic seal, KBA identity checks and 10-year video storage. Enterprise also supports hybrid workflows with employee and network notaries.
Is Online Notary Center cheaper than OneNotary?
For single documents they are close. Both list 25 USD per notarization, but OneNotary charges 10 USD for an extra seal or signer while Online Notary Center's standard plan charges 25 USD. Online Notary Center Business Premium is cheaper per document at 18.95 USD, against OneNotary Business Professional at 65 USD a month (49 USD billed annually) plus per-notarization fees.
When is a monthly plan cheaper than Online Notary Center?
A monthly plan wins once you notarize packages or have two signers. Twelve two-signer documents cost about 485 USD a month on Business Premium. ENotary Business includes 12 sessions of up to 10 documents and 4 signers for 299 USD a month, or 149 USD billed yearly.
Choosing between Online Notary Center and a monthly plan
Pull last quarter's notarizations and count three things per month: documents, signers per document and how many signings were full packages. If most months show a handful of single-signer documents, Online Notary Center's standard rate is fair. If they show closings, co-signers or weekly volume, a monthly plan with sessions included will cost less and give finance one number to budget.
