BlueNotary pricing at a glance
These fees come from the fee schedule in BlueNotary's help center, last updated in January 2026. BlueNotary changes its pricing from time to time, so confirm the numbers before you sign up.
| Fee | On-demand (Individual, Basic, Pro) | Business Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly price | None | 47 USD per seat, using your own notary |
| Notarization | 25 USD, one stamp | 2 sessions included, then 10 USD per session |
| Additional stamp | 8 USD | 0 USD |
| Additional signer | 5 USD | 5 USD |
| Witness you invite yourself | 0 USD | 0 USD |
| Witness from BlueNotary's network | 10 USD | 10 USD |
| Loan closing, estate planning or closing package | 150 USD flat, or 99 USD with a BlueNotary on-demand notary | 45 USD flat |
Independent notaries have a separate Notary Pro membership with its own platform fees. It is aimed at notaries running their own practice, not at companies buying notarizations, so we leave it out of the business math below.
What moves a BlueNotary bill up
The headline 25 USD is the price of the simplest session: one signer, one stamp. Business documents rarely look like that.
- Stamps. A corporate resolution, an affidavit and a power of attorney signed in one meeting are three notarial acts. On the on-demand plan the second and third stamps add 16 USD.
- Signers. Married couples, co-borrowers and two officers of a company each count. Every signer after the first adds 5 USD on both plans.
- Packages. Loan closings and estate planning sets are billed as a flat package fee, which is good value for a large package and expensive if your documents only need two stamps.
- Session overage on Business Pro. Each seat includes 2 general notarization sessions, so a team running 12 sessions a month on one seat pays for 10 of them at 10 USD each.
What a real month costs on BlueNotary
The table uses the published fees above. It assumes on-demand sessions are handled by a BlueNotary notary, and Business Pro sessions by one seat with your own notary.
| Monthly volume | BlueNotary on-demand | BlueNotary Business Pro (1 seat, own notary) | ENotary plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 sessions, 1 signer, 1 stamp | 100 USD | 67 USD | 119 USD (Starter, network notary included) |
| 12 sessions, 1 signer, 1 stamp | 300 USD | 147 USD | 299 USD (Business) |
| 12 sessions, 2 signers, 3 stamps | 552 USD | 207 USD | 299 USD (Business) |
| 40 sessions, 2 signers, 3 stamps | 1,840 USD | 627 USD | 799 USD (Scale) |
Two honest takeaways. If you already employ a commissioned notary and only need software, BlueNotary Business Pro is one of the cheapest options on the market, and it stays cheaper than our plans at the volumes above. If you need the platform to supply the notary, the on-demand fees stack up quickly on multi-signer, multi-stamp sessions, and a plan with network sessions included costs less from roughly 12 sessions a month.
When a monthly plan with notaries included makes more sense
BlueNotary's business plan is built around your own notary. That is a real cost that does not show up on the invoice: a commissioned notary on staff has to hold a remote online notary commission, keep an electronic seal and digital certificate current, and be free when the signer is. For many title, legal and HR teams that person does not exist, or is already overloaded.
ENotary covers both cases in one account. Every plan includes sessions with a commissioned network notary, so nobody on your team needs a commission. From the Business plan you also get own-notary seats, and sessions your notaries run do not use the monthly allowance. A team with one staff notary who is out two days a week can still close on those days. See how bring your own notary seats work, or compare every plan on the online notary cost page.
BlueNotary pricing for loan closings and estate planning
The package fee is where BlueNotary differs most from per-stamp pricing. A closing package with a BlueNotary on-demand notary is a flat 99 USD on the on-demand plan and 45 USD on Business Pro with your own notary. For a refinance with two borrowers and a dozen notarized pages, that flat fee is simple and fair.
Lenders should check two things before they commit. First, whether the investor or warehouse lender accepts remote online notarization in the property's state, since some still require specific platform certifications. Second, who is on the hook for scheduling: a flat package fee does not include a notary on call at 7 pm when the borrower is finally free. If your team also reviews the borrower file before closing, loan underwriting software can take the document review off the closer's desk so the notary session is the last step, not the bottleneck.
Title agencies comparing platforms should also read our page on notary and title services.
Questions to ask before you choose a BlueNotary plan
- How many sessions does each seat include per month, and do unused sessions roll over?
- Is a session priced per stamp, per signer or per package for our most common document set?
- What is the fee when our notary is unavailable and a BlueNotary notary has to take the session?
- Which states does the platform support for the notaries we employ?
- How long are recordings and audit trails kept, and can we export them as PDF and JSON?
- What does API access cost if we want to start sessions from our own system?
How BlueNotary compares with other business options
BlueNotary is one of several remote online notarization platforms with business plans. For a full comparison of Proof (formerly Notarize) fees, read our guide to Notarize pricing or the Notarize alternatives page. Teams already on DocuSign eSignature can compare DocuSign Notary cost with a monthly plan.
| Platform | Business pricing model | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| BlueNotary | 25 USD on-demand notarization, Business Pro 47 USD per seat with your own notary | Teams with a staff notary and modest volume |
| Proof (formerly Notarize) | 0 USD or 199 USD per month plus per-meeting, per-signer and per-seal fees | Occasional use and national lenders |
| DocuSign Notary | On-demand per signer and seal, enterprise by quote | Companies already on DocuSign with 200 or more notarizations a year |
| ENotary | Monthly plan with network notary sessions included, own-notary seats from Business | Title, legal, HR and lending teams with weekly volume |
How much does BlueNotary charge per notarization?
BlueNotary charges 25 USD for an on-demand notarization with one stamp. Each additional stamp costs 8 USD, each additional signer 5 USD, and a witness from BlueNotary's network 10 USD. Loan closing and estate planning packages are billed as a flat fee instead.
How much is BlueNotary Business Pro?
Business Pro costs 47 USD per seat per month and is designed for teams using their own commissioned notary. Each seat includes 2 general notarization sessions, then 10 USD per session. Additional stamps are free and additional signers cost 5 USD.
Do I need my own notary to use BlueNotary for business?
For the Business Pro plan, yes: it is priced for teams using their own notary. Without one, you pay the on-demand fees, starting at 25 USD per notarization. ENotary plans include network notary sessions, so a commission on staff is optional.
Is BlueNotary cheaper than Proof?
For a single signer and one stamp, both start at about 25 USD per session, though Proof adds identity and signing fees. With your own notary, BlueNotary Business Pro at 47 USD per seat is usually cheaper than Proof Pro+ at 199 USD per month plus 15 USD per in-house meeting.
Choosing between per-session and monthly pricing
Count last quarter's notarizations, signers and stamps, then price that month on each platform. If you have a staff notary and fewer than about 20 sessions a month, BlueNotary Business Pro is hard to beat. If you need notaries supplied, run multi-signer packages or want one fixed number for finance, a plan with sessions included is simpler.
